The Flat Share by Beth O’Leary Book Review

I had wanted to read this book since I first heard about it a couple of months ago. I kept the idea of it in the back of my mind, not knowing when it would be published (I don’t know why I didn’t check) but I was very happy on Friday evening when I left work to surprisingly warm weather and this book in my local bookstore.

I dove into it that same night and it’s taken me a few days of painstakingly putting it down to finish it.

This book is about Tiffy and Leon, two characters who I instantly fell in love with. They share a flat and a bed, but they have never met. Tiffy works during the day and Leon works at night. Never seeing each other and never being in the flat at the same time they communicate through post-it notes and the occasional text message.

To say I loved this book would be an understatement. I couldn’t put it down. I was smiling the entire time I was reading it and when I wasn’t reading it I was thinking about the next time I could pick it up. It is such a heart-warming read. It’s perfect for summer reading – I know you’re thinking about sitting outside in the sunshine reading this book and I would 100% recommend doing that.

Happy Reading!
