Books

The start of a literature love affair

One of the first books I remember buying was the Sisters Grimm by Michael Buckly. I remember buying it with my dad years and years ago. The Sisters Grimm started my love affair with literature.

Vampire Stories, don’t deny it, we all loved them! I still listen to the Twilight movie soundtracks weekly. Twilight was the vampire story that started it all but it defiantly wasn’t the last. My twilight books are battered and bruised because I’ve had them for so long. I may never read them again but they’re important to me because they started a love of vampire stories for me.

One vampire story that I can proudly say is one of my all time favourite series is the Vampire Academy series by Richelle Mead. These books made me want to be a writer. I re-read them all the time. Richelle Mead is a fantastic writer and the world’s she creates are what I aspire to be able to write… Can you tell I love her? Vampire Academy turned ten years old this year and I can’t believe they’ve been my favourite books for a decade!

My first VA book is so battered and loved. It’s been on countless holidays with me. What Harry Potter is to some people, Vampire Acadmey is to me.

I couldn’t help but pop in the House of Night series. These books were so popular when I was in school, I never finished them, I lost track of how many there are but look how pretty they are!

I’d love to hear about some of the books you read and loved as a teenager!

Happy Reading!
